Entrepreneur groups get $500,000 in grants

Thank you to Michael Carroll, Knoxville Entrepreneur Center’s Director, for the the invitation to speak about my start up roadmap2reading and my passion for cultivating early readers.

Using my series of roadmap2reading apps, children as young as two can begin the journey to early reading. My apps are fun and engaging, un-commercialized, research based, simply and elegantly designed. – Julie

Our attitudes about math influence our kid’s success – WSJ

Excellent article in Wall Street Journal about how our attitudes about math have a huge influence on our kid’s success – especially when working on homework. Also great ideas on how to integrate math into your everyday routine starting in preschool. – Julie

 

Thirty preschoolers had a rocking reading time in my demonstration today at the downtown library. We fished for sounds, dug into the mystery box and played bean bag letters. – Julie
